Much To Do About Nothing ~

I have decided that life as an adult is a quite complicated… yet still somewhat intriguing. People can be difficult, hard to read creatures…Yet completely fascinating all at the same time. You go through highs that feel completely and unbelievably remarkable and yet, go through lows that feel so dark, dreary and hopeless. We are a forever learning, growing and changing people. There are no “days off” (although you can randomly check out from time to time). We are ever constantly moving along.
As I watch my girls, I often wish I could press a pause button. It all seems to be moving in fast forward and I can’t push DVR on my remote and rewind to make sure I did not miss something. I try to watch them build their bonds with each other, I wonder why it seems so hard for them to see that someday in the not too distant future, they will be each others everything. They will go through this crazy life and all that comes with it, and need each other to celebrate the good times with and mourn the bad times with. I guess its part of their learning & growing experience that will someday come.
I guess I’m having one of those days when you look back on being a child. How absolutely carefree life was. Summer days spent playing for countless hours outside. Riding bikes to the candy store, spending what felt like eternity picking out just the right piece of candy. Playing in forts built by your much cooler older brothers and cherishing the moments when they would break down and play Barbie dolls with you if you promised not to tell anyone. Aww the simplicity of it all! No work. No bills. No stress. No heartache. Just the smell of grape bubble gum as you blow a bubble, crisp cool water on your skin as you drive into the pool and backyard camp outs that you’ll absolutely remember forever!

It's All About The Guys ~








I have posted in the past about the amazing women in my life and as Fathers day is here, I have been reflecting on the amazing men in my life. I have been so incredibly blessed to have the dearest, sweetest, kindest, most humble man to call my Dad. He has always been and is still my inspiration. He offers such insight on life and is truly loved by so many. I’m sure my sibling would quickly disagree, but I love him more than any of them could possibly imagine. That is in large part because our parents have an amazing gift of making each of us feel that we are their favorite and love more than any other. My Dad has work so hard his entire life to make sure his family is provided for. I never hear him complain nor do I ever recall him speaking harshly of others. He has a heart as big as his hugs. I am grateful for his love of our Savior and for the testimony he holds dear to him. Thanks for letting me always be your princess Daddy.
What would life be without my brothers? I hope I do not ever have to find out because I have the 3 best brothers EVER! We love spending time together even though it’s getting harder the older we get and the further apart we seem to move. My family is my only constant in my life. No one and nothing will ever play a bigger roll then they all play. No one or nothing will ever replace the bonds we share or the comfort they all bring to me. I have learned in my life that very little else matters. Family is why we are here. My brothers are a great strength to me and I love them dearly.
I have also been blessed with a wonderful husband and I am absolutely, without a doubt head over hills in love with him! He brightens each day and always keeps me laughing! He is a fabulous father and I love to see his face light up when he sees his kids enjoying life. He works hard for our family and I want him to know it does not go unnoticed. We appreciate him very much! I feel very fortunate to have found someone who loves me unconditionally and who along with all our children completes the person I am. Gordon is defiantly passionate about his hobbies and everyone he loves and we all feel blessed to have him our lives!
There have been many other fabulous men that have touched my life in so many ways and I’m so grateful to have had our paths cross at some point and time in my life. Happy Fathers Day!

Happy 9th Birthday Maddie ~

I'm a little late with my birthday post, but that is the story of my life it seems! My baby girl turned 9!!!! I can't believe it, it seems like only yesterday I help her tiny little 5lb 12oz body in my arms amazed that the Lord blessed us with another one of his precious daughters. Maddie completed our family and has brought so much joy to our lives. She has a very tender heart and is very quite and shy (I know it's hard to believe I could have a shy and quite child). She is always the first to help me out or to do little things around the house without being asked. Maddie IS like her mom in the sense that she has a lot of anxiety and goes through times when it's really hard for her to get through a day. Gordon and I decided that Maddie needed a very special birthday gift this year (oh the things we do for our kids) So we got her a puppy! She is a Jackapoo - Jack Russel miniature poodle mix. She is stinkin cute and Maddie adores her. She named her Miley. Happy Birthday baby. We hope Miley brings you as much joy and happiness as you bring us :) xoxoxox love ur guts!

A Night With Taylor ~






Since our girls were all ROCK STARS this year on their report cards we took them to Vegas to see their all time favorite singer Taylor Swift..I won't lie I LOVE her too! It was hands down the BEST concert I have ever been too! She was so amazing with her fans. She is still very humble and several times would stop and just take it all in! We are so proud of our girls and to see the look on their faces when she came and performed below our seats was absolutely priceless. The very moments that you live for when you are a parent.

Our Wish For You ~


We Had a bracelet cutting ceremony while we were in St George. Mom cut off all of our pink breast cancer bracelets that we have worn since she was diagnosed.We each said a wish for her as she cut it off. It was very emotional and kind of an end to this chapter. We sure missed Brackon & Marcie and their girls but I know we hope that this is behind her for good! We love you Mom!


Meg's Wedding ~

We went home a few weeks ago for my girlfriends wedding. She was such a beautiful bride. I'm so glad she found her Happy Ever After! Love you Meg xoxoxo



Down came the SPRAY and washed the spider out~

This is what I came home to the other day! It was in my garage. Oh my goodness I think I sprayed the entire can of bug spray on it! Me and spiders...umm not so much!

Mom's always make you feel better~

I have had a rough couple of days and my sweet Mom always knows what to say to make me feel better. She sent me this, this morning and it was so profound I had to share it. Thanks for making me feel better Mom. You are the BEST!

In April, Maya Angelou was interviewed by Oprah on her 70+ birthday. Oprah asked her what she thought of growing older.
And, there on television, she said it was 'exciting.' Regarding body changes, she said there were many, occurring every day....like her breasts. They seem to be in a race to see which will reach her waist, first.

The audience laughed so hard they cried. She is such an honest woman, with so much wisdom in her words!

Maya Angelou said this:

"I've learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow.

"I've learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.?
