Counting Our Blessings ~

I did not sleep at all last night. I have so much on my mind and so much to be grateful for. Gordon, the girls and I were in an accident yesterday. Thankfully no one was hurt just a little banged up and bruised. Unfortunately the boat and trailer did not fair so well. We were hit by a young kid while we were turning. He was driving so fast that he hit the trailer with such force it popped the boat off and the boat went into the air and spun around and landed on the back of his car. I'm trying to get the pictures I took on my phone so I can post them. You really have to see it to believe it. Anyways It totaled his car but he was ok too. We all had angels watching over us for sure. We have had so many family memories boating and I am really heart broken over all this. We now live by two lakes and the river so we had big plans to spend time boating as our release and to take the girls minds off of being away from home. I am however very grateful for all of our safety, this could have had a very very different outcome.

G N O~

Kacie planned a Girls Night Out for me before we left St George. We had so much fun and I really needed a night away from packing boxes! Not all my friends were in town and some had to work, they were missed but we had a great time. We laughed, ate great food and topped it off with some shopping! Thanks everyone for making my night special.

Madison's Special Day ~

Sunday July 13,2008 started out as most of our Sundays do. We got up, got ready and went to church. We had been requesting for several weeks to be able to have a privet baptism for Maddie. She turned 8 on June 3rd so she missed the June baptism by 2 days. We were then out of town for the July one, then we found out we were moving. Anyways we found out at church that day that we could baptise her, but it would have to be that night at 7:30pm. It was very bitter sweet. Madison wanted nothing more then to be baptised and did not understand all the scheduling conflicts we were running into. She really wanted to do it while we still loved in St George. We knew that not all our family and friends would not be able to attend on such notice and we were all very sad about that. We asked Madison what she wanted to do and she was soooooo excited! She wanted to do that night. So with a lot of help of my Mom and Kacie and Tiff, we planed a baptism in less then an hour. It was crazy but it was such a special day. My Dad baptized her and Mom and Kacie spoke. Everyone did such a great job, and i was able to have a very tender moment with Madison when I helped her out of the water. She has such a strong spirit and I'm so very proud of her.

Crazy Days ~

Who knows when life will get back to normal, so I thought I would do a quick post. We are in Arizona and trying to get unpacked. It is slow going for sure but we will get there. We have all shed a few tears in the last few days. We miss our family, friends and our home. We went out exploring our new town last night, that turned out to be an expensive trip to target and the movies. ( I think we all needed a little retail therapy) We are enjoying all the family time we are sharing. The girls make us laugh so hard. I just die at some of the things they come up with! I am cherishing these moments because I know they will be gone before I blink. My girls are my life and I love them all dearly. I have a ton of pic's to post from Madison baptism and some good bye pic's from our last week in St George. I hope to get them up soon. Anyways, We hope this post finds you all well. Love your guts ~ xoxoxo

As We Turn The Page ~

It never ceases to amaze me how fast word travels around here, so I'm sure most of you know that Gordon and I took a job transfer to Arizona and we will be moving in 10 days. We are not super excited about the location but we only signed a year agreement and then we will be back! We are looking forward to the change and to the doors that this will open for our family. We have absolutely loved living in Washington Utah and will always consider this home. We will for sure miss all our family. It has been so nice to be so close. I'm so grateful for all their love and support (even though my Mom is not very happy about all this). We also made some life long friends here that we will miss dearly. We know it will be hard to be away but we will for sure keep in touch. My heart hurts the most for our girls. I'm sad they have to say goodbye to their family, friends, school and their familiar surroundings. Having said that I'm excited for them to experience life outside of the "Utah bubble". Anyways we mostly just wanted to say goodbye and thanks to everyone who has had a positive impact on our lives and the lives of our girls. Take care, we will see you in a year! xoxoxoxo

38 Years ~

I just wanted to wish my Mom and Dad a happy anniversary. They have been married for 38 years and are still head over hills for each other. I am so blessed to have always known how in love my parents are. As a child I always saw how the looked at each other, how they treated each other, and how deeply they loved each other. They are such an example to Gordon and I. My family has always been very affectionate and I know it is because we were always surrounded by the powerful love of my Mom and Dad. I am greatful to know that they are truly 2 of the happiest people I know. They are amazing and I love them with all of my heart.
